BREAKING NEWS: Dortmund hand new deal to Piszczek

Lukasz Piszczek has agreed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund, committing himself to the Bundesliga club until June 2020.

The 32-year-old s new terms bolt a further 12 months on to his previous deal at Signal Iduna Park, which he agreed last April.

Poland international Piszczek joined Dortmund from Hertha Berlin in 2010 and has made 290 appearances in all competitions.

He is one of the remaining members of the side that won back-to-back Bundesliga titles under Jurgen Klopp in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Real Sociedad eye permanent contract for Kieran Tierney

Real Madrid are interested in signing Kieran Tierney on a permanent contract from Arsenal in the summer of 2024, according to . Tierney joined La Liga club Sociedad from Premier League side Arsenal on a loan deal in the summer of 2023.

TEAMtalk has reported that Sociedad have no option to make the loan deal for Tierney permanent at the end of the season. The Scotland international left-back has also been injured for Sociedad this season. However, La Real have been impressed with the former Celtic left-back and are willing to pay £30 million in transfer fees for him.

Carolina Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks says no one is bigger than the team after he kicked Robbie Anderson out mid-game in their 24-10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The Panthers wide receiver was seen in a heated argument with position coach Joe Dailey late in the first half, before resuming their verbal exchange midway through the third quarter. Anderson had been benched for the third quarter and had been sitting alone on a cooler, before the second argument.

Real Madrid moved to the top of the La Liga table with a 2-1 victory against Barcelona in the latest instalment of El Clasico on Saturday evening.
